Bluebell Ladies Lunch, in Pictures.

On 18th September we attended the annual ladies lunch in aid of Bluebell PND Service in Glasgow. Bluebell is a charity which supports women and families suffering from mental health issues such as anxiety and depression during pregnancy and the first two years after a baby is born. The charity receives no government funding and therefore relies heavily on fundraising events like the Ladies Lunch to keep their counselling, crèche and support group services running.

We first became aware of Bluebell  a whole decade ago when a family member began working there. Now, being mums ourselves, it’s a cause even closer to our hearts and we try to organise occasional fundraising events and have become regular attendees at the Ladies Lunch.

This year’s lunch was held in the fabulous Gandolfi Fish in Glasgow’s Merchant city. It’s a great excuse to get dressed up on a Sunday afternoon and Susan even managed to match her Jamberry nail wraps to her dress!

As usual, the food in Gandolfi Fish was exceptional and we were treated to three courses followed by tea and coffee. Feast your eyes on these delights!

Bluebell were also donated a gorgeous cake for their ten year anniversary, which rounded things off food wise nicely.

There were a few sellers with really lovely products who were donating a generous percentage to the cause and the raffle prizes were fantastic!

Admist all the fun, eating, drinking and shopping, we paused to listen to the story of one of Bluebell’s very first clients. It was amazing to hear how far counselling and support can go to changing people’s lives and relationships for the better.

All in all, a brilliant afternoon which raised almost two thousand pounds for a very important charity. Roll on next year!
